Competition Team

our team

Mid Iowa Gymnastics is incredibly proud to host a Competitive Team of gymnasts through the Xcel Program of USA Gymnastics. The gymnasts on our Competitive Team range in age from five through sixteen and compete at all different skill levels. We strive to create a fun and positive environment for our gymnasts to compete in and hope to help them reach their goals when it comes to competing.

First, and most important, providing a fantastic gymnastics experience is what this club is about. We are here for the young athletes, many who have hopes and dreams of being the best they can be in life and in the sport of gymnastics. We are here to support them in that dream.

Gymnasts  on our Competitive Team practice 1.5 to 3 hours a session, 2 to 3 times a week, depending on their skill level and aspirations.  The Competitive Team works on progressive skill development, conditioning, and competition routines.  They compete at meets around throughout the state of Iowa and the competition season is primarily in the Winter and Spring.
